Derby Day Dingy Races
"Our purpose is to bring together single adults who sail or wish to do so, in order that members can meet others with similar interests, participate in sailing activities, share information about sailing, and learn safe boating practices."
The best sailing and boating club in South Florida. We sail in Miami, Broward and Palm Counties. Based in Fort Lauderdale, this Sailing Singles of South Florida (SSSF) club is the place to gather new friends to crew for your boat, sail on other members’ sail boats, or just learn to sail.
Many of our captains sail out of Ft Lauderdale’s Port Everglades, and Hillsboro’s inlet. Still others sail from Miami and even the Keys.
The club was founded in November of 1988 by a group of singles who sailed and wanted to sail with others like themselves. By having active volunteers organizing sails and social events we have continued for more than 25 years.
Whether you’re a seasoned sailor or someone who would like to step on board for the first time, Sailing Singles of South Florida is for you. Becoming a member can open your world to new, blue, horizons. We are nice people offering sailing, social activities and educational classes. It’s a great way to meet other singles! You do not need a yacht to join!
Check out our web site. You’ll learn all about Sailing Singles. If you have any questions, comments or suggestions please send us an email. Most of all, we look forward to meeting you at our next gathering. Stop by to say “hello” and to “shoot the breeze”… It’s GREAT FUN FOR EVERYONE !
